I'm Sandi, owner of Sandi Trails, and I started this business in 2007 for several reasons.
I enjoy sharing my love of horses and trail riding with others. I love nothing more than tossing a bridle on Casper and heading down the trail. Admiring nature while ambling through the woods is relaxing and good for your soul. There aren't many opportunities these days to shut off the phone and have some quality time enjoying the beauty of nature. I hope to provide this luxury to those who need a break from the "concrete jungle"!
I realized at about age 12 that I was mad about horses. Years ago, Jonathan Dickinson State Park offered short trail rides, and my parents made the mistake of taking me. Boy, was I hooked! I cherish my memories of those precious rides, and to this day, they are some of the highlights of my childhood. I hope to share similar wonderful experiences with other horse lovers, young and old alike.
I am an experienced trail guide and have been riding these local trails since I was a kid. I know the parks we ride like the back of my hand, and, as a backup, I also carry a GPS and a cell phone on trails.
I have always been a bit of a nature buff, and can identify most of the flora and fauna in the area. Most of the areas I rode in as a child are now "developed"--the woods are now malls, golf courses, shopping centers, new roadways, and apartment complexes. I am happy the land use planners in Palm Beach County left a few beautiful tracts of land completely undisturbed, and for allowing horseback riding on the existing trail infrastructure. It is very special indeed, in this day and age, to have such lovely places to enjoy a horse within 20 minutes of your front door.
My goal is to offer a wonderful day on the trails--a day you will remember always. And if you get hooked like I did and want to come back for a second, third or fourth ride, that's A-OK by me too!
We will have fun and enjoy the horses and the beauty that surrounds us, so let's ride those trails and have a good time!
I'm looking forward to meeting you,
Sandi
