Option #1--Neighborhood Trail Ride

Come out and ride from the barn!  Our barn is located in an upscale equestrian community, and we have beautiful places to ride nearby.  This is a good option if you would just like to come for a quick hour or two, or if you prefer riding in a more manicured area.  This is also the best option if you are bringing children out to ride.  We start out in the pasture next to the barn to make sure everyone is comfortable, then we head out for a beautiful trip around our spectacular neighborhood.  Be sure to bring your cameras!

You must call ahead to reserve your horse.  This is a high security community, so I will need to have your names at the guard gate before you enter.

$100 per horse for adults--$75 per horse for children.  Minimum 2 horses per ride.  Flexible times are available--call ahead to schedule.  Please try to arrive a little early!

  • Trailering of horse to the destination
  • Use of all tack and supplies
  • Use of a friendly, well-trained horse
  • Expert guidance by the trailmaster
  • Cold drinks and snacks for each rider
  • Clean-up and care of the horse and trailer after the ride

Option #2

$150 per horse for a 1 1/2 hour wooded trail ride

Option #3

$200 per horse for a 3 hour wooded trail ride

Option #4--Saturday Morning Classes

We love to see people perfecting their communication with horses!  If you have always wanted to be a better rider or horseman, it takes practice, practice, practice, and some pointers from a friendly trainer. This is a fun group experience--meet new friends and learn how to stop, steer, and care for a horse.  All ages welcome, 5 horse maximum per class.

$60 for 1 hour lesson.

Classes begin at 9am and 11am

Please arrive a few minutes early so you can be mounted and in the ring when class starts.

-----------------------------------------

Your credit card number is sufficient to hold your ride time/date.  Full payment is due in cash at the beginning of the ride.

Late arrivals, late cancels and no shows will be charged full price and the cost is non-refundable and non-transferable to a rescheduled time.  This includes last-minute decisions not to ride

We are available for rides 365 days a year, including all major holidays.

Trail rides may be scheduled beginning in the morning or the afternoon.  You must call ahead to schedule and to inquire about availability.  The earlier you call to secure your ride time and date, the better.

Rider requirements:

  • For Trail Rides off the property, riders must be at least 13 years of age, unless the rider has prior equestrian experience.
  • Riders who remain on the property for lessons must be at least 6 years of age.
  • Riders may not weigh over 240 lbs.
  • Riders under the age of 18 MUST wear an approved helmet, which we will provide.  Riders over the age of 18 are encouraged, but not required, to wear helmets.

Other Provisions:

We are not equipped to handle special needs situations, which would best be addressed in a therapeutic riding setting.  Since we are often riding through the woods, we do not offer the controlled environment which is mandatory to obtain accreditation as a therapeutic riding facility.  Certain special needs can still be accommodated--please call us to discuss this on an individual basis.

Sandi Trails does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities.

Your telephone call is important!  If I cannot immediately answer your call, please leave a brief message with your name, phone number and/or hotel and I will return your call as quickly as possible.

Our prices reflect the upscale and unique nature of the services we provide.  It is expensive and labor intensive to feed and maintain horses, trailers and trucks in this area of South Florida.  We provide you a top-notch trail riding experience.  We are proud of the service we provide, and are confident you will see what an exciting privilege it is to explore the increasingly rare and pristine wilderness areas of South Florida.

I am happy to answer questions, and to offer suggestions to help plan your ride.  Please be aware that certain trails are closed during hunting days, and other trails are best utilized at certain times of the year.  For instance, during rainy season, certain trails are under water.  It is my job to know these things, and we can discuss the perfect trail for whatever time of year you plan to ride.
